On 6/19/02 I saw 80's New Wave band "A Flock of Seagulls" at club 14 Below in Santa Monica. I had waited 20 years to see these guys live...
They played mostly new material. They played two versions of "I Ran", the first one they played earlier and it was a faster, harder, punkier sounding one that will be on the new record, and the second was the original sounding one that they closed the show with. It was very emotional hearing the original "I Ran" live after first falling in love with that song at 13 years of age. The crowd of about 100 reacted to the older songs, including Space Age Love Song, Telecommunication, Nightmares, Wishing (if I had a photograph of you) more but the new ones were pretty good as well. It was very cool to be right up close to Mike Score and see a legend at work...
